About the project

Hi! My name is Daniel, and Kommuneskjorta began with a simple wish.

After many years of moving around Europe, I settled down in Rømskog. I wanted a t-shirt for my new home municipality, but there weren't any. So, I designed one myself. My neighbors liked it and asked for more. That’s how it started.

Today, Kommuneskjorta is a small design project with a big goal: a unique design for every single municipality in Norway. Especially the small places that have never had their own garment.

Each design is drawn specifically for its location, inspired by the municipal coat of arms, a landmark, a local legend, wildlife, or history. Not mass-produced souvenirs, but thoughtful designs for those who are proud of their home village, have moved away, or simply have a place that means something to them.
